The Real Deal

So, I am going to give you the real deal.  I’ve had a hell of a week.  My son was in a horrible motorcycle accident this past Wednesday.  He is showing improvement and is no longer in ICU.  To think for one moment when I heard the words “your son has been in a motorcycle accident” that my son was perhaps no longer with me, I felt like I could throw up.

Mothers are truly put through such heart wrenching experiences that takes a pieces of a mother’s life right out of me with this accident, for example, or mothers are filled with joy and love when they are with their children and enjoy each other’s conversation.

Always leave someone on a happy feeling.  We never know who will or will not be in our lives tomorrow. “Life is short” as I have always said, and the rest of saying is “so go for it” I feel that way more than ever now!

A few days later, I feel so thankful to have my son getting stronger everyday.  I am forever thankful.  Thank you dear God!

This is why I have not been blogging and sharing my living greener tips.  Take care out there!

Time Flies

Greetings my fellow Bloggers,

I’ve heard this saying my whole life and now I am living it = Time Flies.  It truly flies right by you and before you know it your baby is having babies, and you still have a long list of “Life Goals” you want to accomplish. The only difference is that you’re twenty some odd years older.  This makes it harder to do anything, at least for me as I a few disabilities I deal with daily.

I try not to make a fuss about my health problems, but they can hold me back from doing what I want to do sometimes.  That’s when I tend to get a bit frustrated.  This year I promised myself a trip to Europe, which is in the planning stage.  My goal is to visit Europe one more time after this time, if all goes well.  The times I’ve had the pleasure to visit Europe always keeps me yearning to return to see new far away adventures.  I am ready for a safari too.  I just need to find someone who wants to join me, oh and find some money too (lol).

It’s so easy to get in a rut when you have to care give and you, yourself, have health issues, but I make plans to travel locally every year.  Locally means within the USA.  There is so much to learn and enjoy in our beautiful USA.  I know money is more than tight, but who knows when you will no longer be here on earth, so that’s when I go to my life’s mantra which I’ve shared with “everyone” that reads my blog (which is no one -lol) “Life is short, so go for it!”  Embrace the unknown and learn from it.

Okay, I have to finish a few things so that’s it for today.  I hope everyone finds some happiness over the weekend and longer…………Later, **Think Clear**

Parkinson’s Disease

Hi, as you all know…….(how funny as I am pretty sure that no one reads this blog but me, I think (lol)), my father suffers from Parkinson’ disease.  Parkinson’s is far from a funny disease.  Many days my father drains the life right out of me.  Lord knows he doesn’t mean to, but he does. I take care of all his paperwork,  home repairs, utilities, all changes, repairs or updates – you name it.

Dad calls me so much because he doesn’t have any friends.  He is embarrassed that he will forget things and his potential friends will get mad at him.  I told him if they do, then kiss them off and move on.  You’ve got to take some chances and make some friends your age.   He won’t do it!  “There is nothing to discuss,” as he puts it.

Guess where the pressure goes when when my father requires human interaction…………?  That didn’t take you long… yes, he calls me.  I love my father with all my heart, but he can’t remember what we talked about the day before so there many times that we have the same conversation up 4+ times, or more.   I have virtual work projects that I need to work on at home, so I really do need to finish up with my dad and move on to my work, but he hangs on my tail strings and won’t let go. What to do?  What to do?

Any thoughts on the issue?  I had to clear my head today.  I will hold my breath waiting for someone to respond – lol.

Preparing for Travel to Europe

It’s so exciting to think about being overseas for a month.  I’ve been planning a trip to Europe for the past six months.  A close friend of mine will be part of this adventure.  We are both like little kids when it comes to the planning stages.

When it comes to planning a trip, it’s no small task to plan for every little detail.  We still have a lot to details to work out and then we have to do a lot to prepare our homes, animals, plants and everything else that requires attention before we leave.

Once I return, I will pick a location and write a little about it each time I blog, so you can feel like you were there too.

It’s Sunday night and I’ve spent half the weekend finalizing some details and sending out some inquiry emails with questions that will determine what I need to do next before I can cross some of the tasks off my to do list.  Planning a trip of this magnitude requires several “to do” lists – for sure!

I am pretty sure that I’ve shared this with you before.  If I had all the money I need to live and I didn’t have to work, I would travel and attend college for my remaining days.  I love to travel.

Well, it’s time to kick back and watch a little bit of TV before bed.  I got a lot done, but it wasn’t house work, so I’ll work on that during the week.

Life Is Too Short So Go For It!!

Greetings All,

“Life is too short, so go for it”. That has been my favorite saying since I was in high school (which was a few years ago – LOL) would you believe many moons ago?  That would be closer to the truth.  I know you’ve all been waiting for me to write in my blog today! Okay now I am dreaming  – you’re right it’s really only wishful thinking.  I just love that saying, “Life is too short, so go for it”

The real goal here is to feel better about life at the end of each day, and to help all my friends, family members, and my new online friends to do the same thing.  So you can vent about your day, and try to find something within your day that was funny or seems funny now.  The only oversight is that I have not shared my blog URL with anyone so it would be a remarkable thing if a family or friend found this blog and figured out it’s mine.

Following my favorite saying……………besides getting ready for Europe, the next thing I plan to do is see if I qualify for the legislature about going back to college.  I think the Federal Gov’t is setup to pay for it.  I have so many things I want to learn or take again as a refresher.  I can’t wait to find out.

I’ve been going to college over 3/4 of my life.  I love to learn and I love to travel.  When I was younger that’s how I saw myself living out my final days.  I would be traveling here and there while learning and writing about my travels.  What a life that would be.   That sounds like the perfect ending to a good life, and  perfect ending to living by a great saying.  I still have quite a long way to go before my life should be over as I have many, many more places to travel, and I haven’t started my book yet.  I think I will start writing very soon.  Perhaps during my trip to Europe.

Have a great weekend from *Think Clear*
